TRIB Biosensors is Hiring a Manufacturing Technician I Near Wilsonville, OR

Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand the basic tasks and principles of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor manufacturing.
  • Execute production tasks according to work instructions and component drawings.
  • Work hands-on in one or more areas of sensor manufacturing to operate the sensor manufacturing equipment including high throughput wire preparation, coiling, and trimming, pneumatic die punch presses, chemical dip coating machines, ultrasonic welders, and packaging and sealing equipment.
  • Perform manual wire rework, soldering, assembly, and final packaging processes.
  • Work on fine wires under 30X magnification, as required.
  • Execute cleanroom protocols to ensure product cleanliness.
  • Perform routine area cleaning and monitoring procedures to maintain a clean working environment.
  • Performs routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and limited troubleshooting activities, as required.
  • Identify and escalate potential issues in a timely manner to quality assurance team and/or direct supervisor.
  • Identify and communication opportunities for improvement to direct supervisor.
  • Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and departmental policies to ensure product quality and workplace safety.
  • Follow record keeping practices to ensure accuracy of production records and the device history record.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Understand and comply with all safety procedures.
  • Assist in the execution of designed experiments to identify and characterize critical process factors.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing environment (i.e. GMP or ISO) is preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good team player that is self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions with a minimum amount of supervision.
  • Must be computer literate with standard business software (i.e. Word, Outlook etc.)
  • Capable of working under the requirements of an ISO Class 8 cleanroom environment.
  • Capable of working with small parts under a microscope for extended periods of time.
  • Capable of sitting and/or standing for extended periods while performing tasks that require fine motor skills and good vision.
  • Able to adjust to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
